This Little Boy
by r.e. Bertlow
This little Boy entered our world and landed in my hands
He filled my heart with a love that knows now depth.
This little Boy came into the world with his curly black hair just like I had
WOW! I get to be a Dad.
This little Boy wasn't supposed to be mine
But when he came to this world he came just in time.
This little Boy
This little Boy
This little Boy
This little Boy wasn't mine
But he was.
I wasn't my Dads Childs
But I was.
This little Boy made me a Man
This littleBoy made me a Dad.
This little Boy holds my finger as he is learning to walk
I light up like Christmas every time he does.
This little Boy
This little Boy
This little Boy
This little Boy want to stay and fish a little more
He doesn't care how much it might pour.
This little Boy loves to sing with me when we are on a drive,
God this Boy makes me feel alive.
This little Boy will dance at the drop of a hat,
This little boy is like me he knows where it's at.
This Boy
This Boy
This Boy
This little Boy is all grown up
I miss him being my little Pup
This little Boy is starting his live maybe one day he'll have a husband or wife.
This little Boy calls me Pop's
and I am honored for the name.
This little Boys all grown up no time for childhood games
But I love this boy all the same.
His mom and I are happy to see him on his way
In our hearts it hurts to have to see this day.
This little Boy has many adventures that have yet to be
This little Boy is everything to me.
